Experience and affiliations

Three cases across consulting, capital budgeting and venture capital that show how I frame a problem, build the numbers and land a recommendation.
01Developed a €7.17B German market-opportunity estimate and a €388K-€940K phased funding recommendation, presented to the client team.
02Recommended the Match My Doll Clothing Line as the stronger strategic and financial investment.
03Finalist round; investment thesis recognised by the judging panel.
That combination fits companies where finance has to understand the operating reality behind the numbers: industrial technology, medtech, manufacturing, logistics, mobility, infrastructure and other asset-intensive businesses.
2013 to 2019Six years as a Fourth Engineer on German-managed container vessels: planned maintenance, spares and fuel budgets, technical compliance and root-cause analysis where a day of downtime costs six figures.
2019 to 2022Three years co-running a family edible-oil distribution business: working capital and credit terms, pricing and cost control, supplier and dealer negotiation, and a KPI system that made decisions faster.
2024 to 2026The HHL MBA added formal method: DCF and comparables, transaction analysis, scenario modelling and the discipline of defending assumptions in front of a client or a panel.
Six years at sea taught me that operational reliability, risk management and maintenance discipline have direct financial consequences. Co-running a distribution business made working capital, margins, supplier terms and cash conversion personally tangible. The MBA at HHL translated those instincts into structured capability in valuation, corporate finance, M&A and strategy.

Registered for the November 2026 sitting
I grew up around a family business, spent six years at sea as a marine engineer on German-managed container ships, and then spent three years running the family company's finance and operations. Both taught the same lesson from different angles: numbers only matter when they describe what is actually happening on the ground.
The MBA at HHL Leipzig gave that instinct a proper toolkit: valuation, M&A and corporate strategy. And I now work on commercial cases where the analysis has to survive a client conversation. I am building a career in Germany at the point where operations and finance meet.
